Freightliner started making vans in North America in 2001, but will be stopping production of the Freightliner Sprinter Van with the 2021 models.

Why no more Freightliner Sprinter? Apparently, Mercedes was selling far more Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Vans than Freightliner Sprinter Vans. And with predicted slowdowns in sales and the sort of economic activities that drive van purchases, Mercedes-Benz decided it was no longer worth it to certify and market a redundant, relatively low-volume product here.
